| Creating a mailing template online takes more work than you would ever think. One of my first observations was that I needed to ensure that links were embedded throughout my email template, so that people would be increasingly drawn to my company. Your email newsletter template should include sales and company news, as well as links that will take clients to your website. It does not mean that you should put picture- and text-embedded links throughout your mails all the time. What I have found out, is that it works a lot better to just have a few various points to highlight to allow people to navigate to your page. For instance, if you have an icon of the company emblem present, it would be wise to embed a link to your website within that icon. What is also practiced alot, is embedding links in the news and sale sections of your website. I also added a text link at the bottom of the email so clients that read it don't have to scroll back up to click on it. There is also the option to buy email templates, which may sometimes be the solution for you. Ensuring large portions of the email is clear for introductions and company information ensures professionalism. If I take care of this, I'll ensure that the email template design has a professional look to it. Often clients feel intimidated by overly aggressive emails, so many times it is reassuring for them to communicate to you trough an honest connection. My email marketing templates are like the welcome mat at my business -- people experience them without giving them thought but they have an important place in setting the mood of interaction so that they feel welcome as well as productive. Welcome mats like email marketing templates are among the most perceived as well as least noticed part of any business, and I take the time to organize and choose them with care. | |
